Volume 14, number 1, March 2014 is here. The contents spectrum and the geographical spread of authors is wider than before. and the number of papers published has been increased to about 50 per issue (even 51 for this issue), to cope with the ever increasing number of paper uploads per months. We will continue this way to reduce further the backlog of papers in forthcoming trimestral Issues. We noticed with pleasure the small but steady increase in the number of papers backed up by experimental effort and validation. We will continue to favor strong papers with solid theoretical original contributions and thorough experimental investigations. The number of distinct visitors was in 2013 higher than before, around 3700, which for a new specialized Journal is a good sign tough more is needed. Thanking the reviewers for their work so far, we have to inform you that in view of the more and more paper proposal uploads, we need prompter and thorough reviews in the future. Up to now, we have accepted as reviewers only scholars with at least 2 IEEE Transaction papers, we are now prepared to relax this standard to create a batch of Junior Reviewers with two IEEE Explore Conference papers in order to have more, younger reviewers, strictly in their main field of interest and expertise. So, volunteers, please offer yourself for the job (Junior Reviewer Board) because it is after all rewarding in terms of gaining more knowledge, both in terms of what to investigate and how to do it better. Sincerely, Professor Ion Boldea, IEEE Life Fellow Editor of www.JEE.ro
