Abstract
This paper summarizes a comparison of speed
computation methods for servo control, regarding their influence
on controller performance. In addition, state control
is taken into account as a means for actively damping
mechanical resonance. The effects of sensor quality and
control timing are discussed. The theoretical background is
investigated and compared to the measurements.
