Abstract
This paper deals with the novel modified
direct torque control (MDTC) scheme based on space
vector modulation for interior permanent magnet
synchronous motor drive . The torque and flux ripples are
greatly reduced compared with the conventional direct
torque control scheme. The proposed MDTC for interior
permanent magnet synchronous motor is modelled using
Matlab/ simulink. The comparative results show that the
FLC is more robust and, hence, found to be a suitable
replacement of the PID controller for the high
performance industrial drive applications.
