Disturbance Free Operation of a Fault-Tolerant Permanent Magnet Machines with diverse Fault Scenarios
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper examines thoroughly different types of faults in windings/circuits interfacing fault-tolerant permanent magnet machines into a common DC bus. Analytical expressions that predict the system performance during a fault were derived. The failures either in the windings/driving circuits are normally accompanied with low frequency ripple components in the developed torque and the DC link voltage/current. Annotative, simple and robust techniques are advised for compensating torque ripples.
