Numerical and Analytical Analysis of Eddy Current Non Destructive Testing in JSAEM Benchmark

Abstract
In this papers, sample comparison is presented by an analytical and numerical models to describe the response of an eddy current (E C) testing for a conducting plate. The 2D electromagnetic analysis is applied in the case of axial symmetry. Harmonic electromagnetic analyse is based on the magnetic vector potential (MVP) formulation.The impedance of the sensor coil is plot by varying the thickness and the lift-off. This impedance for two models (analytic and numeric) is measured for one frequency equal to 1 MHz. The variation of thickness and lift-off parameters are studied in the model for harmonic excitation and the results are discussed.
