NEW SUPER LIFT LUO-CONVERTER BASED ON SHEPPARD-TAYLOR TOPOLOGY

This article studies the design and implementation of new negative output elementary super-lift Luo-converter (NOESLLC) based on the Sheppard-Taylor (S-T) topology using the PI controller for medium and high voltage projects. The designed converters are created with few elements in comparison with S-T converter and also it is capable of controlling the output voltage and producing good efficiency at different operating stages through various input voltage, various load resistance and different duty cycle. The significance of the developed converters over the conventional soft switching converters is, the main switches of the designed converter are switched-ON with zero current switching (ZCS) and the rectifier diodes are switched-OFF with zero voltage switching (ZVS). Here, the PI controller is designed for NOESLLC based on S-T for improving their dynamic performance as well as output voltage regulation. The performance of the designed converters using a classical PI controller is verified by developing both the MATLAB/Simulink and experimental models at different working conditions in comparison with NOESLLC. The results are presented to show the proficiency of the designed converter over the conventional NOESLLC.
