VARIATION AND THE INFLUENCE OF THE PITCH ANGLE OF THE ROTATIONAL SPEED OF THE WIND TURBINE

The considerable growth of energy consumption in all forms associated with polluting effects caused by burning fossil fuels, are at the heart of discussions on the future of the planet. Renewable energy, such as wind power, is an increase in growth, but its mechanical power depends heavily on on wind conditions and wind turbine performance characteristics. The variation of the wind speed has a significant influence on the flow of the wind acting on the blades. Then, the blades have cyclical variations in the setting angle β. Simulation results were analyzed, showing the influence of the variation of the pitch angle and mechanical power generated which allowed us to control the rotation speed control of the wind turbine by PI controller.
