ANALYSIS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SEMI Z SOURCE INVERTER FOR PV SYSTEMS
This paper presents non isolated semi-Z source inverters for a single phase photovoltaic (PV) system. These semi-Z-source inverters employ the Z-source/quasi-Z-source network with two active switches controlled complementarily to achieve the sinusoidal output voltage, what the traditional voltage-fed full-bridge inverter does. The input dc source and the output ac voltage of the semi-Z-source inverter share the same ground; that means doubly grounded leads to less leakage ground current. A modified sinusoidal pulse width modulation method is used to obtain the output sinusoidal voltage.
